Level Twenty Seven Chambers congratulates Nicholas Andreatidis KC on his appointment as a judge of the District Court of Queensland. His appointment is effective 26 May 2023.
Joining the legal profession in 1991, Nicholas was called to the bar in 2003 and took Silk in 2018. His practice, as a solicitor and then a barrister, centred on legally complex administrative and commercial law disputes requiring his appearance in Australian courts, inquiries and international arbitrations. Nicholas’ expertise was recognised by Australian Financial Review’s Best Lawyers, Doyle’s Guide and Legal 500.
Beyond this, Nicholas championed the use of technology at the bar, sitting as a member of the Law Council of Australia’s legal technology sub-committee. He was an elected member on the Queensland Bar Association from 2017 sitting on the Association’s ethics sub-committee and chaired the New Bar Committee. Nicholas also sat on the Australian Bar Association’s Ethics Committee and was a Director of the Law Council Australia as the Queensland representative for the Bar Association of Queensland.
Outside of the law, Nicholas is on the board for Roses in the Ocean “Stemming the tide of suicide”.
