Further interlocutory proceedings in the defamation proceeding between Lachlan Murdoch and Private Media Pty Ltd and its officers and employees. This was an application by the respondents for an extension of time to file defence under r 1.39 of the Federal Court Rules 2011 (Cth). The respondents’ application was on the basis that recent access to material disclosed in United States proceedings was potentially relevant to its defence.
