Daniel ‘proactively engages with and assists solicitors’ (The Legal 500 2021) in relation to the availability of counsel, their areas of expertise and fees. He brings a wealth of experience of practice management and service delivery in barristers’ chambers, commencing his career in 1993 at large commercial chambers in London, before joining Level Twenty Seven Chambers in 2014. Described by The Legal 500 2024 as ‘a most skilled clerk‘ and ‘second to none in the Australian market‘, Daniel is known for his accessibility and friendly client-facing approach, offering ‘outstanding client-service’ (Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific 2021).
Alongside his client facing responsibilities, Daniel is a member of Chambers’ Readership Committee and is the first point of contact for enquiries from prospective readers (which are treated in confidence). Daniel draws on many years of working with barristers with diverse careers and interests, as well as astute market intelligence, to help evolve each barrister’s practice. He is also a member of Equality & Diversity Committee which monitors and reports on our progress in relations to equality and diversity, as well as equitable briefing.
