Expertise
The barristers at Level Twenty Seven Chambers have a particular expertise in relation to claims against professionals (including accountants, financial planners, lawyers, doctors, architects and engineers), whether for negligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty or breach of trust. The work undertaken by our members ranges from multi-million dollar claims in a wide variety of commercial contexts to claims by private individuals who feel they have been poorly served by their professional advisers.
Our work in this area extends to issues of professional indemnity insurance, including disputes as to avoidance or denial of cover and as to the meaning and effect of policy terms. Doyle’s Guide included Level Twenty Seven Chambers barristers in its list of Leading Queensland Professional Indemnity Counsel 2020.
Recent noteworthy matters include State of Queensland v Masson which saw our barristers involved in each stage of the proceedings all the way to the High Court.
