The 44th WLAQ Awards was hosted at Victoria Park on Friday 28 October 2022. The annual ceremony is a celebration of women practitioners who make a significant contribution to Queensland’s legal profession. The event also raises funds for the Women’s Legal Service Queensland and Beryl Donkin Memorial Scholarship.
Among the awards are the Leneen Forde AC Woman Lawyer of the Year, Regional Woman Lawyer of the Year and Emergent Woman Law of the Year accolades.
The Hon. Leneen Forde AC received the Woman in Excellence award which was sponsored by Level Twenty Seven Chambers. The Hon. Margaret McMurdo introduced the award which was present by Florence Chen and Sarah Spottiswood who practice from Level Twenty Seven Chambers.
