Discussion
As crypto assets become mainstream, arbitration is emerging as the preferred forum for resolving disputes across tokenised investments, smart contracts, custody arrangements, and decentralised finance (DeFi). This panel brings together commercial barristers, arbitration practitioners, and regulatory experts to examine the unique challenges of crypto-related disputes. The session will address both private and institutional arbitration perspectives, and consider how traditional arbitral infrastructure can adapt to the evolving crypto ecosystem.
Topics
- jurisdiction and governing law clauses in token offerings
- evidentiary issues in digital asset tracing
- arbitral enforcement of crypto-related awards
- the role of arbitral institutions in handling technologically complex matters.
