With over 10 years’ experience, Dayle has specific expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration, regulatory proceedings and investigations, and construction law.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Dayle was a Senior Specialist at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, where she advised on complex financial services litigation primarily in the Federal Court.
Dayle was admitted as a solicitor in 2014 and commenced her career at King & Wood Mallesons, where she advised on building and construction disputes conducted in the Queensland Supreme Court or through arbitration (domestic and international).
Dayle holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland and a Master of Laws with Distinction from the University of Cambridge.
Experience
Dayle’s experience as a solicitor includes:
> Litigation against companies involving allegations of false, misleading or deceptive conduct in the provision of financial services and the imposition of pecuniary penalties
> Litigation against a superannuation company for failure to comply with internal dispute resolution procedures
> Litigation, both civil and criminal, against individuals and companies involving misuse of investor funds
> Administrative action to cancel Australian Financial Services Licences and ban financial advisers
> Applications to wind up companies, obtain freezing orders and impose travel restraints
> Application for a court inquiry into the conduct of a Registered Liquidator
> Acting for John Holland in a private arbitration involving repudiation, extension of time and variation claims
> Acting for NPMC in a private arbitration involving misleading or deceptive conduct claims
> Acting for Thiess in the Supreme Court of Queensland involving breach of contract claims
