In this oppression case in the Federal Court of Australia, a shareholder and investor in a coffee wholesaling business sought and obtained orders to be bought out at a favourable valuation. The plaintiff succeeded in establishing that it had been unfairly excluded from management, unfairly deprived of relevant information concerning the operation of the business and unfairly locked in to its shareholding, contrary to the terms of the Shareholders Agreement.
Stewart Webster and Mei Ying Barnes appeared for the plaintiff.
