This case concerns an appeal from an order that the appellant, Ultra Tune Australia Pty Ltd, pay fines of $1.5 million following its conviction on four charges of contempt. The court considered Ultra Tune’s contentions as to the want of an endorsement to the orders, and the application of the dispensing power. The primary judge’s findings in relation to the penalties for contempt and its calculations were also reviewed. The appeal was dismissed with costs.
