On 24 October 2018 Paul McQuade QC and Kristi Riedel provided a session titled ‘Damages for Loss of Opportunity – The Essentials‘ to the Gold Coast District Law Association. This session provided an overview of claims for loss of opportunity damages. Topics discussed included the key principles and some of the evidentiary and pleading issues which typically arise when such claims are made. It also involved an analysis of some authorities to illustrate the application of the principles and evidentiary issues.
