This proceeding concerned an appeal pursuant to s 44 of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975 (Cth) from a decision of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. In that decision, the AAT dismissed the application by which the applicant sought a second-tier review of a decision of the Social Services and Child Support Division of the AAT. The Tribunal dismissed the application for review on the ground that it was satisfied, for the purposes of s 42B(1)(b) of the AAT Act, that the application “has no reasonable prospect of success”.
Florence Chen appeared on behalf of the respondent, instructed by Mills Oakley.
