The appellants sought to set aside injunctions restraining them from publishing defamatory matter relating to the plaintiffs. In issue was whether the trial judge had provided sufficient reasons for granting the injunctions, and, particularly, whether injunctions against the corporate media defendants were supportable by the evidence. Both the appeal and an application by the respondents to adduce fresh evidence were dismissed.
Rob Anderson QC, with Rachel de Luchi, appeared instructed by Bennett & Philp for the appellants.
