The Humane Society International, an environmental interest group, challenged the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority’s decision to permit the Department of Agriculture & Fisheries (Qld) to conduct a shark control program in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Although the Administrative Appeals Tribunal varied the Authority’s decision, it permitted the Department to continue to conduct the shark control program.
