The Coroners Court in Queensland examined the death of John Michael Spence who was, at the time of his death, a prisoner at the Capricornia Correctional Centre.
Instructed by Minter Ellison Lawyers, Matthew Hickey appeared for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (the CQHS), which was responsible for the provision of services within the medical centre within the prison and in which the deceased was accommodated at the time of his death.
No adverse findings or recommendations were made against the CQHS.
