Michael Trim, instructed by Baker & McKenzie appeared on behalf of Air Conditioning Manufacturer, Daikin Australia Pty Ltd, at an inquest into the death of Jordan Robert Crocker, who was fatally electrocuted while inspecting a Daikin ducted air conditioner system at a domestic location.
The Coroner made a number of recommendations for the government including extending the operation of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2023 (Qld) beyond general purpose socket outlets to cover all final subcircuits.
