An appeal from the Land Court’s decision to change the Ipswich City Council’s categorisation of land for rating purposes. The question on appeal was whether certain Bunnings stores were a “drive-in shopping centre” or a “Shop – Single” under the relevant Ipswich City Council budget. The appeal was successful. The Land Appeal Court reinstated the Ipswich City Council’s original categorisation of land for rating purposes.
