This was a disciplinary proceeding against a registered nurse who worked under the influence of alcohol and who later pleaded guilty to offences arising from driving under the influence. Ultimately, the Tribunal found that the respondent engaged in professional misconduct and she has an alcohol use disorder that detrimentally affects, or is likely to detrimentally affect, her capacity to practice as a nurse. Accordingly, the Tribunal reprimanded the respondent and imposed conditions on her registration as a nurse.
Rachel De Luchi appeared on behalf of the Applicant, instructed by MinterEllison.
