This case concerned a negligence claim arising from an industrial accident at the Hail Creek coal mine in Central Queensland.
Matthew Hickey (instructed by Meridien Lawyers) appeared for Workpac, a labour hire company, which sought to argue that its employee’s employment had been transferred pro hac vice to Hail Creek Coal, the mine operator.
McMeekin J held that it had not.
