What will the seminar cover?
In uncertain economic times, or as a result of intentional wrongdoing, a primary wrongdoer may be unable to satisfy a judgment. This seminar revisits the practically important issue of how liability for civil wrongs can extend beyond the primary wrongdoers. We will consider the doctrinal basis for vicarious and accessorial liability by reference to decisions of the High Court of Australia (including some recent ones) and other established authorities, with a particular focus on accessorial liability in cases involving the misappropriation of assets.
Who should attend?
The session will interest commercial advisory, insolvency and litigation lawyers.
