Final Orders, Costs and Appeals is the third and final instalment of the three-part Queensland Young Lawyers × Level Twenty Seven Chambers 2026 seminar series, which follows the lifecycle of a trial. Participants are welcome to join the full series or attend individual sessions.
What will the seminar cover?
Florence Chen and Finian Cullity (of Level Twenty Seven Chambers) will examine the issues that arise at the conclusion of a trial or hearing once final orders have been made. The session will focus particularly on costs and appeals, including the practical and strategic considerations relevant to costs orders, appellate procedure and the steps that follow the delivery of judgment, providing attendees with practical guidance informed by counsel’s experience.
